Banking Instructions

There are a number of ways to bank your donation with us:

1. By credit card through BT MyDonate

This is a free donations service. It provides similar services to Virgin Money Giving and JustGiving (see 2 and 3, below). It can also be used for setting up sponsorship pages. Gift Aid is added where appropriate. While all our fundraising goes to the RNLI, for all on-line giving, your credit card transaction should be made through The Fund’s website and not through the RNLI’s, since the RNLI will not be able to trace those funds to identify the total contributed by our charity – and we like to know how much our supporters have donated each year! 2. By credit card through Virgin Money Giving

3. By credit card through JustGiving

A commission charge is levied by JustGiving on donations. Gift Aid is added where appropriate. Visit our JustGiving page 

4. By cheque

Pay be cheque, made in the name of The Lifeboat Fund. Please send to the Hon. Treasurer, Angela Wilson:

Please enclose your name, employing organisation and contact number. Please also enclose an email address if you require a receipt.

5. By depositing the money into your nearest HSBC bank

Cheques or cash can be paid over in this way. It is important that you complete a The Lifeboat Fund Banking Sheet and return it to Angela Wilson (Hon. Treasurer – see 4, above) otherwise we shall not be able to record correctly which government department or other body made the donation. Please keep any receipts in case we need to contact HSBC about the donation.
